Rob Littler
Rob produces the VML Drama Classics and also directed The Crucible and Hamlet. He sometimes takes small roles such as Dick in Doctor Faustus and a part in A Street Car Named Desire. He performed the lead character Ebenezer Scrooge in the VML Production of A Christmas Carol in 2023. Rob is now retiring from acting due to ill health and concetrating on Production and Direction.
Ryan McDonald
Ryan is a prolific actor, Playing for VML leads in Hamlet, Of Mice and Men, Mike in Masquerade, Judge Danforth in The Crucible, the title role in MacBeth. Leads in Strip Poker by Jean Pierre Martinez saw him step away briefly from the classics. He also took a singing role in Our House. Ryan co starred in our production of Bouncers by John Godber. He appreared in all three sketch show in various roles.
Mike Clark
Michael has played Laertes in Hamlet, appeared in the Crucible, Played Scrooge's nephew in A Christmas Carol. Took roles in A Street Car Named Desire and played the tragic Tony in Masquerade by Laura Lees who's character dies of AIDS. More recently he has turned his talents to direction with The Tragic History of Doctor Faustus whilst also taking the role of Lucifer in the production.
Phillippa Mullholland
Phillippa's two outstanding roles with VML have been Madame Arcati in Blythe Spirit and Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest. She also did much online acting with the company during covid lockdown, creating the character Madam Zsar Zsar, a psychic charlatin and other roles in Love and Lies in Lockdown and The Brookfield Players.
Adam Chaot
Adam is one of the VML directors but also takes on acting roles too such as Doctor Bradman in Blyth Spirit and John Proctor in The Crucible. He has appeared in Street Car Named Desire, Scrooge, played a lead in a production of Our House, the Madness Musical and directed classics like MacBeth and The Importance of Being Eanest.
Emma Swain
Currently taking a break from acting, Emma has done much work with VML playing Mrs Cratchitt in Scrooge and one of the witches in MacBeth and much more. A talented dancer she has choreographed many of the VML shows, most notably the Madness musical, Our House. No doubt she will be back in the fold very soon.
Gaynor O'Grady
Gaynor is a drama leader at a local school. She brought her love of the artform to VML. She has played many roles since 2017. Starring in Macbeth, Hamlet, The Crucible, Vagina Monologuse in two prodcutions, VML Calling and played Madame Arcati in a production of Blyth Spirit at the Brindley Theatre. A well loved and respected member of the team!
Eve O;Grady
Eve came along as a favour to her Mum to take a role in Scrooge a few years ago and found an artsitic home with VML. She has since blossomed into a fine character actor and played one of the witches in MacBeth for which she won a VML outstanding performance award and very much deserved. Eve is a team player and will take on most roles thrust upon her!
Lewis Maloney
Lewis discovered VML through the Table Top Gaming side of the arts charity. He has since played some excellent roles for us. Coming in to his own in a production of the Poems of Edgar Alan Poe at Norton Priory. He is proving to be a gifted actor with a real future in drama. His portrayal as Washington in A Canterville Ghost is one of his more recent achievements .
